Passwordless Authentication
In order to log in to your account or authorize a new device, you must have all of the following:
Access to your email
Possession of your device
Knowledge of, or the ability to pass your device’s authentication method (eg., Passcode, Touch ID, Face ID).
About Passwords
Passwords can be easily forgotten, guessed, hacked, and are often reused.
If a bad actor has access to your email address, they can initiate a “forgot password” request and log in from a new device without your knowledge.
Device-level Authentication
Authenticating your first device
When you sign up for Domain Money, you must first do so from an iOS device (signing up via Android and web is coming soon).
An email will be sent to your email address and you must click on the magic link from the device you wish to authenticate.
From now on, your account is associated with this device and must be used to authenticate any additional devices
Authenticating additional devices
In order to authenticate an additional device, you must have access to the original device used to sign up. From your new device:
Download Domain Money
Enter your email address to sign in
Tap or click on the link from the same device you are trying to authenticate
A notification will be sent to your original device. Open Domain Money and tap Allow.
Troubleshooting, Common Scenarios, & FAQs
If you have lost your original device
Send us an email at support@domainmoney.com from the new email address you'd like to use. Our Customer Support Team will have to confirm your identity, so please be prepared to answer questions about your account.
If you believe someone has unauthorized access to your device
When signed in, you can view all active devices, as well as their device type (iOS/Android/Web), the general location, and the last time it was accessed.
To remove a single device, navigate to Settings > Security > Manage Devices > Swipe to the left
To remove all devices, tap on "Remove all Devices"
If you believe someone has unauthorized access to your email address
Update your email address password immediately. Keep in mind that even if a bad actor has access to your email address, they would also need to be in physical possession of your device and knowledge of, or the ability to pass your device’s authentication method (eg., PIN, Touch ID, Face ID).
How do I reset my password?
There are no passwords to reset, so simply log in with your email address and click or tap on the magic link.
